The frozen yogurt trend has come and gone for some, but Yoga-urt has been going strong for nearly a decade. This Los Angeles-based vegan frozen yogurt shop counts Academy Award nominee Rooney Mara and Grammy-award-winning singer-songwriter Billie Eilish among its fans.
Eilish gave the small business a shoutout on Verizon’s Pay It Forward Live back in 2020, gushing over its “beautiful hot fudge.” And, in conversation with Harper’s Bazaar, Mara revealed that coming across Yoga-urt was “really exciting for [her],” as the shop allowed her to indulge in frozen yogurt once more, one of her favorite treats before she went vegan. Joaquin Phoenix, Lee Kirk, and Jenna Fisher are also fans of the swirl shop.

Yoga-urt makes delicious dairy-free swirls
Yoga-urt opened its first location in Glendale, CA in 2015, and has since expanded to Echo Park, Santa Monica, and Granada Hills. It specializes in handmade frozen yogurt soft serve, which is made with a super creamy almond milk base and added probiotics. The brand prides itself on being 100 percent dairy-free, organic, and natural. But the best part? All of its flavors taste delectable. No exceptions.
All of Yoga-urt’s dairy-free flavors
Want a taste for yourself? From Peanut Butter Prana to True Tahini, here are 36 sweet reasons to join Eilish and celebrate this small business. Note: While Yoga-urt offers over 35 rotating flavors, six are available in-store at a time.
Yoga-urt
1 Chocolate Bliss
We’re not surprised this is a family favorite among Eilish and her loved ones. Yoga-urt owner Melissa Schulman told us the singer-songwriter loves this flavor swirled with Peanut Butter Prana and topped with chocolate sauce. If you’re struck with indecision when faced with so many flavors, best go with an Eilish recommendation.
Yoga-urt
2 Strawberry Serenity
Vegan strawberry ice cream is a bit of an outlier—only a few brands offer this refreshing sweet treat. Yoga-urt does it so well, it keeps Phoenix coming back time and time again. Enjoy it pure and simple or top it with a magic shell for a chocolate-dipped strawberry frozen delight.
Yoga-urt
3 Vanilla Harmony
Vanilla is a classic flavor, but it also serves as the ideal canvas for any one of Yoga-urt’s fro-yo creations. Pile on the toppings, or cool off with a fizzy kombucha float. Some of our favorites include Vanilla Harmony topped with peanut butter and strawberry sauce (aka PB&J) and a Mango Passionfruit kombucha float with an island of floating Vanilla Harmony.
Yoga-urt
4 Peanut Butter Prana
If you mostly consume peanut butter by the spoonful, this is your flavor. It’s pure, unadulterated, peanutty goodness. It’s perfect as is, but there’s always the option to guild the lily and top it with hot fudge and/or brownie bits. Plus, Schulman proclaims, it’s a favorite amongst all the celebrities who frequent the shop.
Yoga-urt
5 Green Tea Tranquility
Green tea ice cream is polarizing, but less so at Yoga-urt. The company has developed a flavor that isn’t cloyingly sweet or too earthy. Try it topped with mochi, blueberries, and strawberries. This is also a Yoga-urt original!
Yoga-urt
6 Coffee Karma
Can’t get enough coffee flavor? Make it an affogato. This Italian delight is made by pouring hot espresso over ice cream for a hot-meets-cold sensation that’s ideal for a warm summer night. This flavor is also exceptional on its own or with a few toppings such as cacao nibs or sliced almonds.
Yoga-urt
7 Mango Sunrise
On a blistering 100-degree Los Angeles day, nothing will refresh you faster than this tropical flavor. No cones or toppings required—the sweet, cooling, revitalizing mango flavor is all you need.
Yoga-urt
8 Gingerbread
This flavor isn’t always in rotation, but when you see it, get it. The warm holiday spices provide just the right amount of kick to this cool treat. Give it a go for a spicy-meets-cool combination.
Yoga-urt
9 Cherry Amaretto
There’s not enough alcohol in this to get you buzzed, but if you wanted to take a pint home and pour a little extra liquor over it, we can tell you it’s definitely been done, and it’s a brilliant idea.
Yoga-urt
10 Mexican Hot Chocolate
The beauty of this flavor is that even when it melts, it’s still good—think of the ice cream as returning to its natural state. Order this in a waffle cone so you can drink the last drop.
Yoga-urt
11 Lavender Blossom
This pretty pale purple ice cream begs to be dressed up with sprinkles. The floral notes aren’t too overpowering, but you can definitely taste a hint of lavender. Pro tip: the flavor pairs extremely well with chocolate.
Yoga-urt
12 Pumpkin Spice
Since August is the new October, keep an eye out for this fall favorite soon. It’s also awesome as an affogato—think of it as an extra-sweet PSL.
Yoga-urt
13 Mint Magic
This isn’t your neon-green, artificially flavored mint ice cream. It’s so fresh, you can smell the flavor before taking your first bite. Here’s a secret: it gets its mild green hue from avocado! Try it on its own for a simple and refreshing treat, or build a chocolate mint sundae by adding brownie bits, shaved chocolate, and magic shell.
Yoga-urt
14 Salted Caramel Zen
Recreate a frozen vegan Snickers bar with this combo: Salted Caramel Zen topped with magic shell, peanut butter sauce, and chocolate chips. You’re welcome for that insider knowledge.
Yoga-urt
15 Tantric Tart
During the fro-yo boom years ago, tart was a flavor that spanned all menu boards—including Yoga-urt. The flavor has endured the years and is still a favorite amongst locals and celebrities alike—most notably Maggie Baird, Eilish’s mom. Schulman describes it as a “lemony tart flavor” that goes well with strawberries and mango.
Yoga-urt
16 Orange Dreamsicle
This is exactly what it sounds like—that novelty orange-flavored ice cream bar with the vanilla cream filling you used to chase ice cream trucks for. Nothing tastes better than nostalgia and childhood memories.
Yoga-urt
17 Beautiful Blueberry
We love this flavor swirled high atop a waffle cone and packed with fresh blueberries. It’s just like indulging in a sweet slice of blueberry pie.
Yoga-urt
18 Pistachio Passion
Pistachio fanatics—you know who you are. There’s no point in considering the other 30 plus flavors—you know what you crave, and you’re nuts about pistachios. Top this lightly green-hued fro-yo with pistachios and waffle cone pieces.
Yoga-urt
19 Thai Iced Tea
If this flavor were to melt, it would be impossible to distinguish it from an actual Thai iced tea. The taste is so spot-on. Enjoy it on its own or topped with chewy mochi or mango.
Yoga-urt
20 Maple Banana Pancake
Fro-yo for brunch? Why not? The base is free of artificial flavorings—it’s honestly made with roasted bananas, pancake mix, maple syrup, and cinnamon. This flavor tastes exactly as it sounds, and it sounds like breakfast for dessert!
Yoga-urt
21 Coconut Chai
After tasting this flavor, you’ll order all your chai lattes with coconut milk. The hint of sweet coconut adds the perfect balance to the warming chai spices. This is an ice cream you’re not likely to find anywhere else.
Yoga-urt
22 Radiant Golden Rose
Schulman likens this floral flavor to akbar mashti—a popular Persian ice cream. It’s made with rosewater, cardamom, turmeric, and saffron. She highly recommends topping it with pistachios.
Yoga-urt
23Sweet Greens
“It’s like tasting a smoothie,” Schulman says. Sweet Greens is naturally sweetened with kiwi, pineapple, dates, and white grape juice. The greens component is made up of kale, spinach, and mint. It’s like spooning your favorite green juice, made even better with fresh fruit and nut toppings!
Yoga-urt
24 Caramel Apple Abundance
The issue with caramel apples is two-fold—the caramel is usually gone before the apple, and that sticky candy lingers unpleasantly in your teeth long after you’ve consumed your treat-on-a-stick. This flavor replicates that iconic carnival snack without all those logistical issues. Try it in a waffle cone topped with peanut sauce or slivered almonds.
Yoga-urt
25 Cracker Jacks / Blue Warrior
This flavor was born out of a love for the Los Angeles Dodgers when the team made it to the World Series. It gets its signature Dodger blue from blue spirulina, so while it may taste like that age-old, sticky-sweet popcorn you’d order at a game, it contains a superfood! You won’t find it often at the shop, but when you do (around playoff season or the Fourth of July), it’s a must-order.
Yoga-urt
26 Birthday Cake
We’re getting personal here. It has been years since this VegNews editor has enjoyed a Like It-sized Birthday Remix from Coldstone Creamery. Back in the day, that signature creation was the cornerstone to every birthday, high-achieving report card, and spontaneous mother-daughter ice cream run. Yoga-urt has provided a way to replicate that experience with this flavor. I add the key Birthday Remix mix-ins—sprinkles, hot fudge, and brownie bits—and each time I’m transported back to those innocent childhood memories, but doing it in a way that doesn’t harm animals.
Yoga-urt
27 True Tahini
Tahini is the new vanilla. It’s subtly nutty and just sweet enough—a true summer’s day delight. We love this flavor on its own or sandwiched between two gluten-free cookies for a store-made fro-yo sammie.
Yoga-urt
28 Peaceful Peach
This flavor finally caught our attention when Yoga-urt transformed it into a pie. The shop launched individual slices of peach fro-yo packed in a flaky housemade pie crust and topped with chocolate sauce, sliced almonds, and chocolate chips. Fro-yo pie may be our new favorite pie.
onionkraut | Abillion
29Rocky Road
If you don’t top this classic flavor with slivered almonds and chocolate sauce, you’re doing it wrong. Not that this fro-yo isn’t exceptional on its own, we just like to go a bit over-the-top with toppings. From brownie bits to chocolate chips, shredded coconut to granola, this chocolaty flavor plays well with almost every topping.
Yoga-urt
30 Key Lime
If you’re a fan of the classic all-American dessert that is key lime pie, you will love this frozen yogurt flavor from Yoga-urt. It’s just as zesty, tart, and aromatic as the original.
Yoga-urt
31 Pecan Praline
Creamy, rich, and smooth: if you love nutty flavors, this deliciously buttery frozen yogurt will tick all of the boxes for you. Thanks to the praline, it also has a pleasant caramelly flavor, too.
Yoga-urt
32 Papa’s Boysenberry Pie
This flavor first hit the menu back in June 2024, in honor of the founder’s father Stu Schulman, who loved boysenberry pie. Fun fact: boysenberries combine elements of blackberries, raspberries, and loganberries. If that sounds like a dreamy trio to you, you need to try this fro-yo ASAP.
Yoga-urt
33 Ultimate Ube
Ube has an iconic, bright purple color, which makes it one of the best-looking desserts at Yoga-urt. But it doesn’t just look good, the yam’s natural sweet and nutty flavor means that it tastes great, too.
Yoga-urt
34 Macaroon
According to Yoga-urt, Macaroon has “a subtle coconut taste, but really tastes like a cookie.” Sounds like a match made in heaven. Plus it comes with an extra tasty toasted coconut topping, too.
Yoga-urt
35 Chocolate Peppermint
Chocolate Peppermint is arguably one of the best flavor combinations. Peppermint adds a cool, refreshing twist that complements the richness of the chocolate. Plus it tastes just like the holidays.
Yoga-urt
36 Cafe de Olla
If you love the mix of coffee and cinnamon, you will love Cafe de Olla. It tastes just like everyone’s favorite season: fall.
